About the set
Phantasmal Flames is a Pokémon expansion released in November 2025 and is the second Mega Evolution set, built around Mega Charizard X. It is a smaller set than the series opener, which keeps the chase cards concentrated.
The main draw is Mega Charizard X ex, which appears at three rarities: Special illustration rare at $704.83, Mega Hyper Rare at $256.30 and Ultra Rare at $26.05. Other top cards are Dawn at $19.79, Mega Sharpedo ex at $19.57 and Rotom ex at $17.53, all Special illustration rares.
The Booster Box holds 36 booster packs and is the sealed configuration collectors hold, while the Elite Trainer Box adds 9 packs plus a full-art promo card, sleeves, energy cards, dice, condition markers and a storage box. The Booster Bundle offers 6 packs with no accessories, and the Three-Booster Blister adds a foil promo card to 3 packs. Tins and collection boxes carry 4–8 packs with promo cards, and the packs inside match loose retail packs.
